The End

I am game for his crooked jaw, and for the jaws of Death too, Captain Ahab, if it fairly comes in the way of the business we follow; but I came here to hunt whales, not my commander's vengeance. How many barrels will thy vengeance yield thee even if thou gettest it, Captain Ahab? It will not fetch thee much in our Nantucket market. ~Starbuck, from H. Melville's Moby Dick

This is my catalog of American errors committed in the quest for equality and democracy. It's my desire to show that freedom and responsibility--often best achieved through those two great whales--are to be preferred, and, yet, not let them, too, drive man mad. I trust some of these gaffes will appear to be European, or Asian, or African in origin, but almost always I think we'll see Cap'n America is truly at the helm.

As long as you don't whale on dissenting readers too much during the course of your quest...

That is going to be a big problem for me, I must admit. The good news is that my readership is probably at its height right now.
